According to the company, the Player could evade push a lot more native application development for the PlayBooks. Presently they have 10,000 downloadable apps in BlackBerry App World including Android apps.

Martyn Mallick, V-President of Worldwide alliances and business development for RIM, added that a lot of developers are too looking ahead to append their applications to the playbook android Player. This also allows them to appraise the platform and comprehend the results in order to notify their decision if they will support this platform and have partnership with Blackberry.

He was also got shocked as a lot of developers are contacting him and informing him that their applications have seen a lot additional downloads in a couple of days after releasing of the Android player. As we know Competition in android market is high as there are almost 450,000 applications made by different developers.

In support of including their apps developers need to submit their software to RIM and wait for RIM’s approval. Developers have in addition agree with this procedure as it helps clear out applications that are infringing intellectual property as reported by the executive. Still a little further, some developers are not performing much enthusiasm to ensure their Android application suits the Playbook, resulting for an unworthy experience for the users. Such applications will give the app store a negative reputation. As a prevention for downloading this so called "poor apps" made by some LAZY DEVELOPERS, they will put a WARNING comment to a software that they think low quality.
